uncensored fragment from babel

...and so, as the fourth circuit court of appeals refused to hear the suit of a man the united states government kidnapped and tortured in a case of mistaken identity, the court affirmed publically what we already knew: we are ruled by tyrants who have no regard for law or justice. the imposition of their will upon others, at whatever cost to friend or enemy, is the only goal. in order to accomplish this they will admit no wrong, recognize no guilt. they are pious, justified in the eyes of their god. the tyrants have claimed that allowing al-masry to pursue his case would have undermined national security. the truth is that the only thing it would have undermined is the legitimacy of the tyrants: something already in tatters.

from babel,
i am your fellow prisoner,

LoA.
